I'm taking appointments through
March 2021 at this time.
My husband and I been spending our free time on weekends driving around
enjoying the beauty of the area.
The color in the leaves are becoming more and more beautiful.
I encourage all of you to drive through
the backroads of Woodford Country and
see the beautiful countryside.
Maybe stop at Wallace Station,
grab a sandwich, and sit outside on a picnic table.
Send me a text and a picture. I'd love for you to share what you see!
Please wear a disposable mask when
receiving hair coloring treatment.
Make sure your mask is well fitting,
completely covering your mouth and nose.
If you find your mask slipping a bit over your nose,
please try a piece of tape to secure in place.
Since fall is just around the corner,
why not tweak your hair cut or
get a few shiny color pieces?
Let's get your appointment on the books
as my fall schedule is filling up fast.
As many of you may know, I have intentionally not increased the prices for my salon services for several years.
Now, however, with upholding the increased demands in supplies and sanitation measures required by Covid as well as a result of an increase in supply costs from my distributors, I wanted to give you a heads-up that you will notice a slight increase in salon services.
What remains the same is the high quality of service and professionalism that you have grown to expect and love.
Prices have now been fully updated on my website and will go into effect September 15. I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment soon!
Visiting Darlene at the salon is a safe and private experience.
As we continue our safety standards,
you can rest assured our salon is cleaned between visits.
Each individual guest will have
sterilized supplies used for them only.
All of this to make sure your visit
to the salon is comfortable, safe, and pleasant for you.
Get your next appointment scheduled.
It's that time of the year when most of us struggle

I'm right here. Miss you!
I miss working with my friends and seeing all of your smiling faces and listening to your stories as we share life together. What a treasure you are to me personally and professionally.
While I’m away from work, I'm also counting my blessings and staying busy. I love spending quality time with my family. My husband Chuck and I have used our time to unpack boxes from our move, sort, and prioritize items. We are ever so grateful that Chuck continues to work remotely as this relieves considerable stress from our lack of salon income.
Each day, we are enjoying our farm and have found delight in living a bit away from the hustle and bustle of "town." Everything is coming to life out here. Surprises in the yard are erupting everywhere. It's a treat for my soul!
I’m thankful and I pray for healing of our country. I lift up our leaders to continue to make good and sound decisions for all of us. I pray for our good health. I trust that blessings will come out of this for each and every one on of us.
We’ll certainly be very busy in the salon when we get our doors open. Please stay in touch until then. Drop me a text or an email. I'd love to hear from you!
Something so simple, I took for granted! These 2 easy steps are not always known, so let's go!
Step 1 CLEANSE
Wet your hair. Place about a quarter-sized dollop of shampoo onto your hands, rubbing together. Massage into your scalp only. Let water rinse the shampoo through the rest of your hair rinsing it all clean.
Step 2 CONDITION
Gently squeeze the water from your hair or use a hand towel to dry for best effect. Using just a small amount of conditioner (about the size of a dime), gently glide hair repeatedly through "praying" hands applying the conditioner to your hair from your ears down. Work through your hair with a Flex Brush. Leave on for 4-5 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
And that's it!
Although my salon is currently closed per state mandate, please stay in touch!
Per Governor Beshear's mandate and until further notice,
all salons will be closed.
I will be blogging about hair care tips and tricks
to keep you looking your best while salons are closed,
so please check back often.
God's blessings to you and your families!
I wanted to touch base with you to let you know that I am well, and I am taking extra precautions daily at the salon in the areas of cleanliness and sanitation. My doors are open if you are well and would like to get a new appointment on the books or plan to keep your already scheduled appointment.
On the other hand, if you are sick or have been around someone sick, if you are coughing with upper respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms, fever, or anything shareable, please postpone your visit to South Hill Salon.
And no worries! Just give me a call or send me a text, and we can easily move your appointment time forward to a few weeks down the road.
Many blessings to you and your families during this time, and I look forward to serving you soon!
As the time has now changed, so too should your hair care!
Why not stop blow drying your hair straight and
let the natural curl add bounce to your look?
Make your appointment soon for a spring trim, and
I'll share my tips and tricks for your naturally curly hair.
If you didn't get your name entered in the drawing for this awesome blow dryer,
(retail $40) shoot me a text or an email with the heading "Blow Dryer Give-Away."
Be sure to include your name and phone number.
The drawing will be held on FEBRUARY 14.
